The primary focus of my practice is to serve transgender and gender expansive clients and the people who love them.

FOR GENDER-EXPANSIVE CLIENTS

If you are seeking help for depression, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem issues, or obsessive thoughts, and your gender identity is unrelated to what you are experiencing, we will not focus on your gender identity. If you tell me that your evolving gender identity is what brought you to therapy, or that your gender identity is related to your depression, anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem issues, or obsessive thoughts, then we will examine those issues together.

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM

When one person in a family transitions* the whole family transitions. If you are the partner, spouse, parent, grandparent, or sibling of a gender expansive person who is struggling with your own responses to your loved one’s gender identity, know that you are safe to show up in my office with your fears and concerns, and that you will be heard and respected as we work through them.

* “transition” merely means that one has declared one’s identity as other than cisgender; it may include, but does not imply, medical or surgical intervention.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

I am a person who experiences my gender as more fluid than static. I use she/her and they/them pronouns.
